Away Day 28th February 2009
North Cotswold Branch of the Campaign for Real Ale
As a thank you to our festival helpers we are running a subsidised trip to Whitstable Brewery on the 28th February where we will tour the brewery followed by some sampling and a presentation to the brewer for the beer of the festival, Whitstable Oyster Stout.
We will then move on to the Plough Inn at Stalisfield Green for drinks and lunch
They have offered us two choices as follows
A sausage and mash dish the kitchen team will formulate a special sausage recipe for the day using Whitstable Brewery Oyster Stout.
A vegetarian lasagne made using our own home-made pasta and accompanied by garlic bread and salad.
All dishes are made on the premises especially for our group.
On our way back we will call at the Bell at Aldsworth for an hour

11.45 ARRIVE BREWERY
12.00 BREWERY TOUR, TASTING AND PRESENTATION
13.00 TRAVEL TO PLOUGH INN, STALISFIELD GREEN (8 miles)
13.15 PLOUGH INN STALISFIELD GREEN DRINKS AND LUNCH
15.30 LEAVE PLOUGH
17.45 BELL ALDWORTH (OPENS 18.00)
19.00 LEAVE BELL
20.00 BOURTON-ON-THE WATER
The cost will be £10 per head for helpers and £20 for others, this includes the brewery tour.
